These terms govern your use of Knovo (the "Service"). By accessing the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

What Knovo is

Knovo publishes interactive, source-grounded explainers in structural and molecular biology, molecular pharmacology, and de novo protein and drug design. Drafts are authored with AI assistance and reviewed by a human administrator before publication. Every published explainer cites primary scientific sources.

Not professional advice

Knovo is an educational and informational resource. It is not medical, clinical, diagnostic, treatment, or other professional advice, and it is not patient-facing or consumer-health guidance. Always consult qualified professionals and the underlying primary sources before relying on any scientific claim. Cited sources may include preprints (for example, from bioRxiv) that have not been peer-reviewed.

Accuracy and sources

We strive for accuracy and source-grounding, but the Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Scientific understanding changes, and cited sources may be updated, superseded, or retracted after publication.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service in any way that breaks the law or infringes others' rights;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, its accounts, or its infrastructure;
• scrape, overload, disrupt, or interfere with the Service or its providers; or
• misrepresent Knovo content as professional advice to others.

Intellectual property

Knovo's name, brand, and the presentation of its explainers are owned by Knovo. Cited scientific data and sources remain the property of their respective owners and are subject to their own licenses and terms. You may read and share links to published explainers for non-commercial, informational purposes.

Accounts

Reader accounts are optional and let you save explainers, post comments, and subscribe to new explainers. You sign in with Google; you are responsible for activity under your account. Administrative accounts are issued only to trusted reviewers. All accounts are governed by these terms and our Privacy Policy.

Reader contributions

If you post a comment, you keep ownership of what you write, and you grant Knovo a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display and distribute it as part of the Service. Comments are public, shown with your display name and avatar. You agree not to post content that is unlawful, infringing, abusive, harassing, spam, off-topic, or that misrepresents scientific fact. We may hide or remove any comment and may suspend accounts that violate these terms, at our discretion. You can edit or delete your own comments at any time.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Knovo and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your reliance on the Service or its content.

Changes

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance, reflected by the "last updated" date above.
